Vintage 1960 Walt Disneys Shaggy Dog Hand Puppet in good condition considering age; rubber head is firmly intact as is cotton hand puppet outfit part; magasin ribbon bow tie slightly frayed; paint on Shaggys nose and tongue worn, and slightly worn off on eyes center, and some raised parts of head fur. Shaggy Dog was the star of Disneys 1959 movie "The Shaggy Dog." The toy was produced by Disneys Gund Manufacturing Co. in New York City - clearly marked on label, as is characters name, Shaggy Dog. All fingers on puppet are intact; color of cotton fabric is slightly discolored (yellowed) due to age; otherwise Shaggy is clean and in good shape for those who are fans of the character and the movie. This particular character is harder to find compared to other Disney cloth hand puppets of the same period. There is no sound clicker or squeaker inside the puppet, which many other Disney puppets possess. Non-smoking environment. Nice addition for a collector of these Disney items.
